Why Peace?
The Value of Peace

Why do I speak so much about peace? After all, I've been a man steeped in conflict throughout my life. As a practicing lawyer with decades in the arenas of human conflict, not to mention my extensive training in the martial arts, I've seen people at their worst, and conflict at its most basic levels.
But more than anything, I got an up-close view of the reasons people fight and all the energies that are released in the process. And I can tell you that there are no winners -- a high price is paid by all. Even the victors don't go away unscathed.
Peace is the elixir that makes all the conflict worthwhile. It is what we fight over -- to end the situations that trouble or oppress us or take away our peace of mind or outer being.
Without peace, the new world wouldn't be new at all. It would simply be more of the same, a replication of the status quo.
Peace as a foundation of consciousness, though, realizes that everyone and everything has within them that thread of peace, and our job is to not only maintain but enhance their peace.
Peace is its own reward. That's why I speak so much about the inner conditions that trigger and shape our conflicts, as well as how we can restructure our outer affairs to bring peace to political and economic processes where to the victors go the spoils.
The new world will not be that way. If we're to get there, first we must lay a foundation of peace to build it on. If you're having trouble finding yours, please let me help. For any disturbance in you is a disturbance in the life force that flows through us all.
My peace I give to you.
