Philosopher
This is a moniker that others give me more than I give myself, for they see me concerned as much with the underpinnings that affect the conduct of human affairs as with the outer manifestations of how people treat each other.
I guess it's because I am comfortable working with theoretical concepts. Moreover, I'm told I have a knack for making them concrete and communicate them in ways that people can apply them in their lives.
Whether this is true or not I do not know.
All I do know is that something inside is calling me to help people realize there just must might be another way to see and live their lives without all the struggle and conflict, where they not only are free to create lives that express their own individuality, but also better work together to solve their problems and achieve their common goals.
To paraphrase Rene Descartes, the great French mathemetician and philosopher who said,("Cogito ergo sum" ("I think, therefore I am."):
"I am, therefore I think to evolve myself and my world to a greater expression of what we're all about."
If that makes me a philosopher, so be it. May it serve us all.
